There was a nuclear war 200 years back. World went to hell. Now we're living in a wasteland, and I guess the radiation did a number on the creatures living there. Can't explain why night stalkers happen, though. Someone out there doing some kinda experiments, I guess.

Either way, they're a pain in the ass. After a while, you tend not to question things. There are scorpions bigger than Pointy back home, so he's actually pretty normal to me.
